This Sixth Sunday of Easter finds us meeting once again in a virtual fashion. The attached files can be adapted for home use in a number of different ways and are meant to communicate the reality that even though we are physically distanced from one another we are spiritually connected through Jesus and the Holy Spirit to the Father of us all. May God bless you as you continue to worship, serve, and grow.
This coming Thursday, May 21, the Church celebrates the feast of the Ascension of Jesus. The following prayer is the one written as the Collect of the feast of the Ascension. It is suggested that households mark this important day in the Church calendar in some way.
"Almighty God, your Son Jesus Christ ascended to the throne of heaven that he might rule over all things as Lord. Keep the Church in the unity of the Spirit and in the bond of his peace, and bring the whole creation to worship at his feet, who is alive and reigns with you and the Holy Spirir, one God, now and for ever. Amen." (BAS p. 343)
